Our campus encompasses a 25-bed critical access hospital, a family practice clinic, an intermediate care and emergency room, eye clinic, physical therapy, full-service laboratory and radiology with state-of-the-art technology, as well as home visiting nurse services and partnership with Peace Hospice of Montana. Our critical access hospital is dedicated to the highest level of independence and quality of life for those that make Benefis Missouri River Medical Center their home.

Schedule, Compensation and Benefits:

  • Full time employed position
  • Providers work in a family practice clinic and share call in partnership with 1 MD and 3 APCs
    • 4 days in clinic per week
    • 1 night ER call per week
    • 1 ER call weekend per month
    • Average of 2.3 ER calls per day
  • Family Practice clinic experience preferred, ER experience required
  • ACLS and ATLS evidence of training is required with certification preferred
  • Transfers available to our large tertiary center in Great Falls Montana (Benefis Health System)
    • Approximately 50 minutes by car/ambulance (42 miles)
    • Great Falls has a fixed wing and rotor wing for urgent/emergent patient transfers
    • Direct provider call in line to 24/7 emergency operator
    • Available specialties include Urology, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, ENT, Plastics, Pulmonology, Neurology, Gastroenterology and a regional cancer institute

Schedule, Compensation and Benefits:

  • BMRMC is owned by Benefis Health System – a financially stable, stand alone, community system with great financial support
  • Providers receive a guaranteed base salary with annual bonus opportunities
  • Sign-on bonus/relocation assistance
  • $5,000 CME and $1,000 licensure/dues annually
  • Retirement + 5% match
  • Malpractice insurance with tail coverage
  • Health, dental, vision, & paid disability
  • MRMC is a loan repayment site through the National Health Service Corp (score: 18)

Fort Benton is situated on the banks of the Missouri River with a population of just under 1,500 and is proud to be the oldest continuously occupied settlement in Montana, often referred to as “The Birthplace of Montana”. The welcoming community offers two of the best museums in the west, a beautiful historic hotel with a delicious gourmet restaurant, additional restaurants and shopping along the river, a golf course and a large variety of outdoor activities including camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, summer festivals and more. Fort Benton is a safe, family friendly community with great schools that have a ratio of 16 students per teacher. The community affords a friendly small-town atmosphere, with great people, and offers a great quality of life. For additional shopping and airport access, Fort Benton is close to various other cozy small communities and is a 40-minute commute to the larger urban community of Great Falls, offering additional restaurants, shopping, and fun, in addition to an airport with direct flights via United, Alaska, Delta and Allegiant to Seattle, Salt Lake, Minneapolis, Denver, Chicago (seasonally), Las Vegas and Phoenix.
