We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the sales, service, rentals, and overall profitability (P&L) of our branch(es). The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of proven leadership experience managing teams of 20+ employees and possess strong business acumen in sales and operational excellence. This position requires a results-oriented leader with a passion for driving growth, optimizing branch operations, and fostering a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities:
* Drive financial performance of the branch, managing budgets, costs, and profitability targets. Regularly analyze financial reports and make data-driven decisions to improve profitability.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of employees across sales, service, and rental departments. Foster a positive work environment and build a culture of continuous improvement.
* Responsible for service execution, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer retention.
* Partner with Sales Manager to develop sales strategies to meet revenue goals, expand market share, and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Streamline branch operations to maximize efficiency and improve service execution.
* Maintain and grow relationships with key customers, addressing concerns and identifying opportunities to provide additional value.
* Works closely with the Sales Manager, Regional Service Manager and Regional Rental Director to review opportunities, point out possible process improvements, establish and maintain effective relationships, ensure consistent customer service.
* Lead branch compliance efforts with all safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams of 20+ employees.
* Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L for a branch or department.
* A proven track record of building a team (hiring, training, developing)
* Proven track record in sales, operations, or rental management.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to make strategic decisions and drive growth in a competitive market.
* The ability to adapt to various situations, demands, or organizational needs. Must have the interpersonal and work style flexibility to handle multiple priorities and remain stress tolerant.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field (preferred).
* Conduct on-site evaluations, walking up to a mile on uneven surfaces to assess service conditions and address any issues.
* Occasionally lift and move equipment or materials weighing up to 25 pounds as part of service operations
* Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
* Drug screenings and background checks are part of the hiring process, this may include a Motor Vehicle Record check.
