This position manages the food service production and delivery system, including purchase and inventory of food and supplies. The Food Service Director will ensure conformance with food quality, nutrition, and productivity standards. They will train, manage and supervise food service staff, practice time management techniques, and ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction. Works effectively with the facility leadership team top ensure success of the facility by completing the following core job duties and other required tasks:Direct the expenditure of the food service budgetEnsure that the food service operates within established budgetary guidelinesAssign, direct and supervise food service workersAssist in the hiring, transfer, promotion, demotion, or dismissal of food service workersFollow proper receiving, storage, and preparation techniques to ensure that all food items are maintained at a high quality until consumedPlan, implement, and review all menusMaintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchenPrepare all local, state and accreditation reports as directed or requiredImplement strategies to create an atmosphere that will attract and retain customersUnderstand and implement safety procedures as requiredPerform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent; OR 3 years experience in Food ServicesServ Safe CertificationMinimum 1 year in a supervisory position; OR the full-time equivalent, as a food service supervisor in a healthcare facility in consultation with a dietitian; OR trained and experienced in food service supervision and management through military service programs with experience as described aboveProficiency in building revenue and manage budget, including cost controls, with regards to food, beverage and labor.Demonstrate the proficiency and knowledge to create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls and profit management.Ability to lead, mentor, engage and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching and managing performance.Ability to develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationshipAdvanced Recovery Systems complies with state and federal nondiscrimination laws and policies that prohibit discrimination based on age, color, disability, national origin, race, religion, or sex.
