Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and processing patient equipment, instruments, and supplies. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and decontaminate instruments and equipment using detergents and disinfectant solutions.
  • Operate semi-automatic and automatic sterilization equipment and washers.
  • Receive, stock, and rotate inventory, ensuring that supplies are readily available for use.
  • Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring compliance with regulatory and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and sterilization methods a plus.
