Job Description
  • Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously during the shift.
  • Provide information about the hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Operate hotel reservation system (LMS) and access computerized Casino Management (CMS) tracking system with the use of the Revenue Management System (ARMS) to make reservations for customers.
  • Verify guest identification and payment information.
  • Issue room keys and explain hotel policies and amenities to guests.
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Take and manage reservations over the phone, online, and in person.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of reservations and guest details.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for guests.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and debit card transactions accurately.
  • Prepare and present invoices and receipts to guests.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and provide necessary documentation.
  • Maintain a neat and organized front desk area and lobby.
  • Answer and direct phone calls as necessary.
  • Prepare and distribute shift reports for management and incoming staff.
  • Work closely with other hotel departments (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance, concierge) to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Follow hotel security procedures to ensure guest safety.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities or security concerns to management.
  • Conduct routine checks and inspections to ensure security and safety protocols are maintained.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have ability to add, subtract, and audit accounts.
  • Must be able to handle money accurately and follow established procedures. Able to operate the LMS, CMS, and RMS computer systems and read computer screens.
  • Type accurately on a computer keyboard.
  • Possess knowledge of credit card transactions using electronic draft system.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
