Position Details

Title: Copy Supervisor

Reports to: Associate Creative Director or VP, Creative Director

Role Description and Expectations

The Copy Supervisor is responsible for generating ideas, creating concepts for advertising and promotional copy, developing texts from draft stage through finished product with their art partner; working closely with Creative and Client Service teams to ensure adherence to client's marketing strategies and objectives within specified deadlines. As a people manager the Copy Supervisor manages and mentors creatives that report to them and as needed on projects. In this role, the Copy Supervisor must have an advanced understanding of Klick Health departmental procedures such as routing, print production, protocols, usage rights of stock, images for layout, as well as other internal procedures and solutions practiced by our creative craft.

Key Accountabilities:

* Solid understanding of client's marketplace and can evaluate work in light of current marketing environment commercial awareness
* Ensures the best visualization of the product while staying within budget limits and understands the various production processes. (CGI, Shoot, Stock, etc)
* Contributes innovative ideas appropriate to the client's marketing strategy that challenge the status quo
* Able to defend strengths of existing concepts while remaining open to input and further explorations
* Participates and contributes in brainstorming sessions with stakeholders across meetings
* Review all materials for consistency in copy guidelines and all branding elements
* Works with art partner to skillfully produce work across all channels that communicate the client's message about the product for both the overall campaign
* Supports layouts with attention-getting techniques and compelling storytelling to support strategy
* Follows-through and communicates with Creative Shared Services to ensure smooth flow of jobs to meet deadlines
* Manages and mentors direct reports; coaches, challenges, and provides opportunities for growth
* Follows up on set expectations, and provides coaching and guidance when standards are not being met
* Develops goals with each direct report and conducts performance reviews and regular 1:1s to provide coaching, support career plans, and provide learning opportunities
* Maintains current knowledge of the internal creative team's capabilities & freelance talent; recommends those that are best suited to achieving the desired results
* Fosters an environment of diversity and inclusion on the team
* Maintains awareness of budget requirements and limits and alerts Client Service in advance when work exceeds budget and obtain appropriate approvals to follow through
* Develops strong relationships with all cross discipline internal teams
* Attends client creative presentations as circumstances allow
* Has a solid client relationship; actively leads interactions with clients and forges bonds with stakeholders
* Keeps up to date on industry trends and shares knowledge with internal teams
* Demonstrates a deep understanding of product challenges in relation to overall market
* Complete understanding of market trends and marketing briefs

* Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communications skills
* Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
* Exhibits sound judgment and decisive problem solving ability
* Ability to work well within a team setting
* Ability to build client rapport and trust
* Established presentation skills Managerial skills
* Computer proficiency; solid knowledge of word text programs

Education:

* Bachelor's Degree in Advertising/Marketing, Communications, Writing or related discipline preferred

Experience:

* 5+ years of experience in marketing/advertising business experience preferred
* Comfort with and enthusiasm for integrating AI into your work
