Job Summary and Qualifications

From heart attack to stroke to gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, or just fractured bones, ER nurses see it all. ER nurses learn to quickly triage patients based on immediate observation and acute assessment skills, then to treat symptoms in order of life-threatening priority.

 About this unit:

  • 10 Bed Emergency Department
  • Stroke and STEMI programs, Level III Trauma Center
  • Variety of patients in a rural setting
  • The culture that surrounds us in the ER is not only one of great patient care, but the feeling of true support by those who work beside you. Processes are down, with door to doc time of less than 10 minutes, average of 27 patients a day

What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
