Position Summary:

The Client Services Specialist, Private Risk serves as a technical resource to colleagues and personally provides prompt, efficient, and high-quality service assisting client facing colleagues with behind the scenes objectives.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Enters client information, including detailed records of policy and client communication, into client management programs.
  • Handles endorsement documenting and processing.
  • Follows up on items needed for policies to be issued.
  • Prepares and reviews documents for presenting risks to market.
  • Maintains a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with the firm and insurance company partners to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims.
  • Records only surplus lines taxes and payables.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Looks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes. Brings issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
  • Current License, as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide client services as necessary in states where the firm functions or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn appropriate insurance company and firm software programs, including but not limited to Sagitta, ImageRight, and PowerPoint.
  • Capable of typing a minimum of 55 words per minute.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Takes initiative to contribute as a proactive and determined professional.
  • Uses accuracy and thoroughness while completing job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates the firm's behavioral tenets, exuding behavior that is aligned with the corporate culture.
