OverviewRational 360 is hiring a Senior Social Listening Strategist to help support and expand the firm's integrated data approach for clients. Candidates should have experience gleaning insights from social media, news or other text-based datasets, preferably in an advocacy or political context. Candidates must be eager to work in a fast-paced environment and able to manage a diverse workload.Rational 360 is a leading full-service strategic communications and digital agency, specializing in strategic public affairs communications, reputation management, business and consumer public relations, and interactive digital communications. The salary range for this role is $67,000-$79,000 per year. This position is on-site in Washington, DC.ResponsibilitiesSupport and expand the firm's integrated data approach for clients by gleaning insights from social media, news, or other text-based datasets.Work in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse workload.Collaborate with teams to translate data into strategic recommendations and measurable outcomes.Qualifications3+ years of experience analyzing news and social media conversation with proven results.Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Expertise in social listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch, NetBase, Spredfast/Khoros, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Meltwater).Willingness and excitement to think creatively and entrepreneurially about digital opportunities for campaigns and the agency as a whole.Curious self-starter who enjoys digging into data to help others understand insights and inform campaign strategy.Strong background/interest in developing custom Boolean queries.Ability to manually explore and learn data using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.Excellent written, verbal, and visual data communication tailored to the audience.Bonus: experience with Boolean search logic, capturing media clips, building media/influencer lists, or analyzing a brand's owned social content strategy.Employment Details & BenefitsRational 360 offers competitive compensation including year-end bonuses and a 401(k) match for full-time employees.
