Job Summary:

To assess, diagnose, and treat patients with hearing, balance, and related disorders, including hearing loss and vestibular dysfunction. The Audiologist will evaluate patients' audiologic function, interpret findings, and review test results with patients or responsible adults.


Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' hearing status and provide treatment options for hearing loss.
  • Counsel patients about hearing conservation and refer them to ear, nose, and throat department for consultation when necessary.
  • Perform and interpret electro physiologic and special tests of the peripheral and central auditory system.
  • Evaluate infants and young children's hearing status with a comprehensive battery of tests.
  • Counsel patients about hearing aid device options and evaluate hearing aids when necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as directed.
