Position Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Receiving Inspector to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that incoming materials and components meet our stringent quality standards before they are used in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Incoming Inspection: Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, components, and assemblies to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and specifications.
  • Documentation Review: Verify that all incoming materials are accompanied by the required documentation, including certificates of compliance, test reports, and other quality assurance documents.
  • Measurement and Testing: Use precision measurement tools and testing equipment to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of materials and components.
  • Non-Conformance Handling: Identify and document non-conformances, and work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Compliance Verification: Ensure that all inspected materials meet the necessary aerospace quality standards, including AS9100, and other relevant industry regulations.
  • Data Recording: Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports. Ensure proper documentation is kept for traceability and audit purposes.
  • Communication: Collaborate with suppliers, engineering teams, and production staff to address quality concerns and improve processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance inspection processes and quality control measures.


Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree or certification in Quality Assurance, Aerospace Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection within the aerospace industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100), material specifications, and inspection techniques.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with quality management systems and software is a plus.
  • Safety Compliance: Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
