Our client is currently seeking a qualified Desktop Support Technician to join their team onsite in Washington, DC and provide end-user support part time.Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm (24 hours a week)Duties and ResponsibilitiesBe able to account for work using a visual task board, ServiceNow Ticket System, and during regular team stand up meetingsComfortable with face-to-face interactions as will be required to provide technical support to end users in-person at the customer\'s siteAssist Site Leader in the execution of established processes and escalationsRepair, test, image, and clean PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and other related hardwareMaintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripheralsInstall, move, add, and change. Large IMAC events expected for client printer migration and PC refreshesAssure that all tickets requiring follow up work and/or calls receive appropriate attentionAssist with installations, configurations, upgrades, patch, and other maintenance activities of server equipmentPerform backup, recovery, and security procedures both planned or during emergencyFollow established procedures to detect, diagnose, and accurately report outage of critical site applicationsAssist with diagnoses of network hardware and performance problemsPerform approved installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical networkPerform network system administration task both planned or during emergencyBack up and burn end user dataAssist in developing and documenting improvements to current processesAssist other coworkers in resolution of end users\' technical issues across the programSkills and QualificationsUse a Confident, Positive Attitude to deliver great customer experience and to be invigorated by constant personal interactionDemonstrate high energy given fast-paced environmentDeep understanding of diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing PC/laptop hardware internal components (motherboard, hard drives, RAM, CPU), and understanding of troubleshooting PC software (Windows blue-screen, Outlook, connect network printers)Understanding or work experience of server and network support within an enterprise to provide Smart hands / feet supportWorking experience or strong understanding of enterprise technologies (Office 365, Win10 Professional, imaging, and ticketing systems)Having experience supporting applications related to engineering, manufacturing, and logistics is a plusGet work done independently, and for attendance for availability to work scheduled hoursTrusted to work proactively is a key attribute given limited site IT LeadersAbility to handle multiple projectsAble to meet expectations regularly and respond well to feedback from leadershipAbility to set up, configure, and add all hardwareExperience with asset managementExperience working in an enterprise environmentWage RangeThe rate for this position is between $20.25 - $29.70 per hour.
