Payments Industry Technical Program Manager

Job Description:

  • This person acts as the main Payments Platform’s “face” towards our key client - the Finance team and manages the intakes (requests for new features).
  • Payments Industry Technical Program Manager drives alignment among the Finance and the respective Platform teams (PM, Eng, UX), ensuring documented alignment on strategy, plans, regular tracking and reporting of Finance intakes.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage joint Partnership between Payments and Finance, be the primary POC and help navigate Payments teams, processes, and methodologies
  • Facilitates conversations about objectives and outcomes for new program intakes.
  • Closely collaborates with the program owner on providing transparency to the program high-level plan, the status of the ongoing projects in the program, risks and challenges and prioritization questions.
  • Lead biannual planning and off-cycle intakes prioritization / commitments.
  • Coordinate regular business reviews, collate contents from Domain teams.
  • Track deliverables, metrics, joint OKRs, drive biweekly stakeholder meetings and issue monthly newsletter.


Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in customer success, account management, strategic or technical consulting, Finance PMO or Operations, product management, professional services, or engineering program management.
  • 5 years of experience consulting on technical efforts with clients and translating customer needs to executives.
  • 4 years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects & programs, preferably in Technology or Finance.


Skills:

  • Relevant work experience or knowledge in the payments industry strongly preferred.
  • Relevant work experience in a client consultancy role or Finance PMO.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity within rapidly changing environments.
  • Experience or comfort in driving large leadership-level meetings or business reviews, drafting presentations and leading discussions in a large group setting.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
