You must be capable of reading drawings, weld symbols and weld procedures. Products must be assembled and welded per stringent quality standards and meet all specific codes. The use of all basic steel fabrication tools is needed and expected.ResponsibilitiesPrepare component assemblies for weldingVerify welding is in accordance with the specific codes and weld proceduresAdjust welding equipment as neededPerform welds as specified and directed by supervisorClean and prepare finished products for inspectionKeep our personal tools and assigned tools in proper working orderCommunicate with your supervisorWork must be completed in a timely manner consistent with the best of the industry RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required1-2 years GMAW 1G experience or recent welding trade school graduateInterpret weld proceduresAbility to be Crane CertifiedAbility to be Forklift CertifiedUnderstand AWS codes and proceduresMust be able to read and utilize a tape measurePhysical RequirementsLifting-75lbs 2% of the time.Lift 60 lbs. 40% of the time.Ability to operate a Grinder, Forklift, Side-Lift and Overhead Crane is preferred but not required.Standing 90% of the timeWalking 30% of the time.EnvironmentJob requires outdoor work and indoor in all weather conditions with extreme temperatures.
