Job DutiesPrepare drawings through gathering information from plans and specifications without assistance and accurately input data equipment, and fire alarm/sprinkler devices/equipment without supervisionCreate a fire alarm system/fire sprinkler layout and able to determine power supply, loading requirements, and hydro calcs for fire alarm/fire sprinkler systems.Accurately be able to survey and identify existing conditions to verify that they support the requirements of the fire alarm system/fire sprinkler design and layoutCoordinate and communicate with other disciplines and tradesComplete code review and investigationsProduce code summary sheets and provide interpretation for junior staff and identify/document design standards, codes, and local amendmentsDocument correspondences with AHJs and project teamEnsure that all internal and external customers and co-workers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environmentStay current with technical aspects of job by reading technical manuals, bulletins, product brochures, etc.Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following OSHA and company safety programsAdhere to company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations and lawsMaintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendanceWork collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperationRespectfully takes direction from managerOther duties as assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employee or others.
