Mergers and Acquisitions Senior Investment Banker (f / m / x) - based in Sofia Are you a self-driven and dynamic professional with a passion for M&A advisory? If so, we invite you to explore this exciting career opportunity Your role at RBI Support the heads of RBI’s diverse teams in the origination and execution of M&A advisory mandates in Bulgaria and across the dynamic SEE / CEE regions Collaborate daily and manage projects with clients, investors, senior banking professionals, and other advisers Conduct sector and company analysis, valuations, financial modelling and research in the context of M&A transactions Participate and lead marketing meetings with clients and take on a leading role in crafting engaging marketing materials for M&A deals and strategic client interactions Establish connections and cooperate with RBI's investment banking M&A team in Vienna, as well as other Raiffeisen network banks in the region Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to junior team members Enjoy traveling within the vibrant CEE / SEE region for project origination and execution Your core competencies Academic background, preferably having achieved a Master’s degree with focus on corporate finance Several years of professional advisory experience in M&A, corporate finance advisory, management or financial consulting, private equity, ECM, or acquisition finance Significant previous cross-border transaction experience Proven M&A execution expertise, encompassing both sell-side and buy-side transactions, with a deep understanding of complex deals Proficiency in corporate finance, financial modelling / valuation, as well as numerical and problem-solving skills Fluency in English and Bulgarian languages Effective organizational skills for managing multiple client projects and leading cross-functional, cross-regional teams Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, including the ability to convey ideas concisely and defend their validity CFA charter and / or similar professional qualification would be an advantage What's in it for you Excellent opportunities for professional development in one of the leading investment banking groups in CEE Competitive remuneration package corresponding to candidates’ qualification and experience Possibilities for learning and further development of the professional skills and competences At Raiffeisen Bank International, we are pleased to have more than 17million customers in Austria and 12 other CEE countries – what got us here, are our talented people.
