Shift and payrate for Assembly Tech: 2nd Shift - Mon-Fri 3:00pm-11:30pm $19hr Essential Functions for the Assembly Technician Position: Assemble all of the large mechanical components of a generator Assemble PowerGen from the setting of mechanical components to the final wiring of the electrical components. Put all the large mechanical components of a Generator in proper place. Mount Genset on its skid using correct hardware and meeting torque requirements Mount all stands to skid (ECC, GBC, SCR, disconnect) and setting said components in place. Connect exhaust parts and install them using correct hardware, gaskets and meeting all torque requirements. Make load cables using correct gauge cable, lug, and proper crimp Make CAN harnesses, fuel line and block heater hose An Assembly tech 2 will be responsible for mounting Genset on its skid using correct hardware and meeting torque requirements, Mounting all stands to skid ( ECC, GBC, SCR,disconnect) and setting said components in place Connecting exhaust parts and installing using correct hardware, gaskets and meeting all torque requirements. This position will also be responsible for making load cables using correct gauge cable, lug and proper crimp, making CAN harnesses, fuel line and block heater hose. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for the Assembly Technician position: Ability to measure to 1/16th of an inch Electrical wire and cable routing skills. Understanding of standard wiring workmanship as it pertains to quality Proficiency using a crimping tool, stripping tool; and multimeter as well as hand tools such as wrenches, rachets, torque wrenches. Ability to mark and tag components, wiring, and connections to identify circuits and assemblies Ability to use power tools such grinders, drills, and impact guns Ability to read/execute electrical schematics and/or drawings, and engineering sketches. Ability to learn and understand torque values and how they correspond to components Ability to learn to drill and tap holes, crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, mount control units, and to provide openings for elements, wiring, and instruments using hand and power tools, machines, and equipment Ability to carefully check own work for correctness and completion as specified by instructions, drawings and specifications. bility to work both independently and as part of a team.
