Job Summary: This position is responsible for troubleshooting of Neogen instrumentation and repairs of any returned equipment. Responsible for assisting with equipment burn-ins, coordinates equipment repairs and customer feedback through Tech Services, Customer Service and/or Sales
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
2 - 4+ years' experience with electronics, repair, etc. Comprehensive understanding of function of Instrumentation from internal, OEM and contract manufacturers Perform troubleshooting, on-bench diagnosis, and repair of Instrumentation. Compiles detailed production and repair paperwork, including quantities produced, scrapped, in-process, etc. Ensures quality product is built or repaired and shipped Ensures that Neogen CASE system entries for the Instrumentation department repairs are properly updated and Cases are closed in timely manner. Receive new product formal training on instrument operation and repairs from Vendor Create a repair SOP for new instruments. Performs direct work, demonstrating the ability to perform any of the various operations within the group Assist in modifying BOMs, work instructions, and ISO documents as necessary Assists in maintaining Neogen RA system entries for department Ensures that parts inventory is properly maintained in SL Inspects, repairs, tests, modifies and improves electronic equipment, parts, and systems down to the electronic component level. May solder, use oscilloscopes, and other related equipment. Other duties as may be assigned by Manager Technical Skills: Must be competent with standard electronic test equipment – Oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators, power supplies. Must be able to diagnose and repair electronic equipment, connectivity issues and related troubleshooting. Needs good analog and digital troubleshooting skills.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a solid knowledge of computers and OS systems as well as the ability to communicate electronically effectively. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite are also required.
