Quality Auditor

US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE's and TPO's as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.
Essential Functions:
- Perform in-process inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.
- Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements.
- Monitor data received by sub-contractors for compliance to specifications as needed.
- Assist in sort operations as needed.
- Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
- Perform Receiving Inspection and Dock Auditing as needed.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. quality manual, associates handbooks, level II procedures, etc.).
- Maintain work area per housekeeping standards.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence, and to speak and present information effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to do simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to add positive and negative numbers. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
- Knowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage. Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies.
- Frequent standing or walking for long periods of time.
- Regularly lifting or lowering objects up to 30 pounds.
- Frequent reaching above/below shoulder and forward.
- Occasional bending, stooping, and crouching.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
- The employee must have the ability to distinguish color variation.
