Students advance at a pace that suits them. Your role is to guide them toward discovering their own strengths, not to deliver predetermined lesson plans. This position is designed for high performers eager to apply that energy toward transforming a failing education system. You will not be grading assignments or adhering to rigid curricula. Instead, you'll facilitate workshops, spark curiosity, and demonstrate that learning flourishes when students take ownership of their education. Key Responsibilities Serve as a mentor to K-8 students, establishing trust and fostering a mindset without limits Leverage AI and adaptive learning platforms to customize educational pathways—students move forward at their own speed while you facilitate discovery Create and facilitate life‑skills workshops (include public speaking, goal‑setting, and collaboration) that equip students for long‑term success Cultivate an environment of curiosity, ambition, and development—support students in recognizing their strengths and passions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in any field Proven public speaking abilities, with a track record of engaging and energizing diverse audiences Genuine interest in connecting with, inspiring, and motivating students in grades K‑8 3 years of experience coaching or mentoring children Authorization to work legally in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship Commitment to working on‑site at one of our campuses: Austin, TX; Brownsville, TX; Fort Worth, TX; or Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ Availability to participate in a paid training program at our Austin, TX campus About Alpha Alpha School is on a mission to reshape education with a bold approach that harnesses AI to accelerate learning and unleash student potential. Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. It is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
