Job Summary:

The Apparel Lead is responsible for the replenishment and shop ability of the apparel department. They ensure the efficient operation of the department and provide exceptional customer service by making sure the section is properly signed, sized and well maintained.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the apparel department is properly organized, sized and visually appealing by following merchandising and display standards.
  • Follow our lettered program as directed.
  • Ensuring when new product arrives it is stocked and presented to merchandising standards within 24 hours.
  • Ensure Department is clean, recovered and well maintained as the code W policy states.
  • Train, mentor, and coach associates in the apparel department on product knowledge, merchandising, and customer interaction skills.
  • Collaborate with the store management team to execute sales promotions, marketing initiatives, and special events to drive traffic and increase sales in the apparel department.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding customer service, sales, safety, and security within the department.
  • Sets and verifies all end caps and signage is set according to the direction.
  • Complete any other tasks the Store Manager assigns.


Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Previous apparel experience in a retail environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Knowledge of apparel trends, brands, styles and presentation standards.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems.
  • High school diploma , GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to stand for extended hours.
  • Frequently lift items over 20 pounds
  • Background check required
