Job DescriptionJob Description

The Print Press Operator is responsible for overseeing and operating all tasks at the print press in PXP Solutions. The Print Press Operator will help to drive the execution of the day to day tasks at their designated print press. Qualified candidates must be comfortable in a production oriented, fast paced environment that changes frequently and requires significant multi-tasking abilities. The Print Press Operator reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

 

Job Duties:

  • Ensures timely completion of all production orders at their press
  • Work with production supervisor and production planner to make sure all orders have the necessary items to be completed accordingly at their press
  • Communicate any issues that will slow down production with the appropriate departments and leaders
  • Drive fast and effective screen setups
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with various departments within PXP Solutions
  • Monitor and manage supplies at their press (Ink, Screens, Emulsions, etc.)
  • Help to drive a safety culture in the warehouse
  • Oversee effective quality control processes at the print press
  • Oversee and aid in proper print press operator and assistant training
  • Help to drive productivity and efficiency at the press
  • Ensure production order compliance at the press
  • Key partner to production supervisor to communicate feedback and help troubleshoot
  • Develop and help lead print press assistants
  • Oversee and drive the flawless execution of print production procedures at the press
  • Perform other functions and activities as directed by the production supervisor

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Screen printing or screen making experience required.
  • Experience with print production inks required.
  • Excellent verbal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Able to simultaneously execute a high level of detail
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to use independent judgment effectively
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity
  • Able to work well within a team environment, offering assistance and support to team members when necessary
  • Able to work 2:30PM to 11PM M-F
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
