We are looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to join our team who is ready to lead and serve. As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you'll be overseeing the provision of patient centered and outcome-oriented care within the scope and services provided by the Hospice House. The Assistant Director of Nursing fosters and works collaboratively with all disciplines to provide and oversee the interdisciplinary care plan for each patient. The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for providing quality patient care in a cost efficient and productive manner. Responsible for maintaining harmonious working relationships with patients, families, and staff. The Assistant Director of Nursing will provide ongoing staff education and training and participates in new hire orientation. This position requires willingness to work flexible hours to provide adequate coverage, staff oversight and has On Call responsibilities. The Assistant Director of Nursing may also act as back up for the Administrator during temporary absences and/or vacancies as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • A heart to serve patients and families and a passion for providing the best possible care
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred). Current state license as a registered nurse
  • Experience: Min 3-5 years as a Registered Nurse in an appropriate clinical care setting, home health, or hospice environment (preferred). Evidence of clinical and supervisory knowledge and experience appropriate to the assigned supervision responsibilities.
  • Required: Reliable transportation and Valid Driver's licence. Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently and lift at least 25lbs and bear the weight of an average adult effectively.
