This newly created role and structure has been designed to create added support for all Highland Hospital Physician Assistant's and Nurse Practitioners (APP's). We aim to provide more support, educational opportunities and centralized resources for all staff.Some duties include but are not limited to:Oversees the comprehensive operations and strategic direction of our Advanced Practice Providers (PAs, NPs), ensuring the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered care. In partnership with operational, physician, and nursing leaders, the Senior Director, Advanced Practice Providers, provides leadership to meet the strategies, goals, and performance targets of the Hospital’s mission, strategic plan, and APP workforce needs.This position reports directly to the COO with a matrixed relationship to the Associate Medical Director and works cross-functionally with other clinical departments and leaders within the Hospital as well as across the URMC system.Provides strategic leadership and direction for the APP workforce, ensuring alignment with the hospital's mission, vision, and clinical objectives. In collaboration with senior leadership explores, recommends, develops, and implements new opportunities to optimize APP roles, enhance patient care delivery, and improve clinical outcomes. Serves as a member of appropriate administrative, operational, and clinical committees, e.g. credentialing.In conjunction with department leaders, manages the operational and financial aspects of the APP workforce, including budgeting, resource allocation, and staffing models. Leads quality improvement projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction, safety, and overall care quality.Manages a multi-disciplinary team of APP managers and Lead APPs.Oversees structured APP-associated metrics for assessing productivity and outcomes of APP quality of care and uses data to identify and implement changes to optimize care delivery models.Salary Range$130,000.00 - $180,056.00 annuallyThe referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerationsJob RequirementsEducationDegree from Accredited PA or NP program. Master’s Degree preferred. Fulfilled the requirements to be a licensed PA or NP in NYS.ExperienceMinimum of 7 years clinical experience as a PA or NP, preferably in an inpatient environment.
