**North Tampa Behavioral Health** is the leading treatment program for individuals suffering with mental health & substance abuse issues. Our expert staff restore hope and provide lasting recovery to adults in the greater Tampa area, through holistic care and comprehensive inpatient & outpatient programs, including a separate inpatient program for senior adults. We currently have an opening for a **Full time, Line Cook/Chef**, to join our team of caring professionals.

**Purpose of position**:

* Cook and prepare food according to approved menus.

* Direct activities of workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

* Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.

* Take inventory of supplies and equipment.

* Work with Dietary Manager or Dietitian to ensure menus are varied, nutritionally balanced and appetizing.

* Perform and coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities

**Job Requirements**:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education or training in the culinary field preferred.

Experience: Two (2) or more years experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.

Licensures/Certification: ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification preferred. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification (will provide training for CPI) required.
