As a new Construction Scheduler/Planner at RQ Construction, LLC, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors, and analyzing project timelines to ensure efficiency and on-time completion. You will utilize industry software to update schedules, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to keep projects on track. Additionally, you will collaborate with the project team to adjust schedules as needed, communicate updates effectively, and assist in optimizing project workflows for maximum productivity. Are you the Construction Scheduler/Planner we're looking for?

To excel as a Construction Scheduler/Planner at RQ Construction, LLC, you will need a sound foundation in construction production and processing, business principles, and management techniques. Your ability to actively listen, comprehend written materials, and communicate effectively will be crucial for collaborating with project teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software like Primavera P6 is essential for organizing schedules and managing project workflows efficiently. Your keen problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously will contribute to the successful planning and execution of construction projects.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Knowledge of construction production and processing including production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing effective project construction. In essence, "maximizing the effective planning and execution of construction throughout the project life cycle"
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning resource allocation leadership technique production methods and coordination of people and resources.
  • Demonstrates active listening by giving full attention to what other people are saying taking time to understand the points being made asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Demonstrates reading comprehension to understand concepts in work related documents.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and communicate information and ideas through spoken words and sentences to others.
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing (e.g. information in an RFP).
  • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and providing a solution to the problem (e.g. finding an error in the logic of the project schedule).
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and the Internet to assist in completing various administrative aspects of the position.
  • Ability to operate various project management formats (Primavera P6, AutoDesk, etc.) to assist in managing a project.
  • Demonstrates initiative to take action and a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges as assigned.
  • Demonstrates an attention to detail to ensure the thorough completion of work tasks.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple project schedules concurrently.
