Telework must be completed from a pre-designated home-based location within the State of California and employees may be required to report on-site to address business needs. Telework is at the sole discretion of the Court and may be rescinded with 48 hours’ notice, based on needs of the Orange County Superior Court. ABOUT THE POSITION Business Systems Analyst I/II will play a pivotal role in performing analytical duties to enable CTS to develop and implement technology solutions to meet business, operational, and public service objectives. The unit is involved in identifying new opportunities, anticipating emerging trends in technology, and developing innovative solutions to address problems. These solutions have the potential to have major transformational effects on the way Court conducts business and meet or exceed the expectations of internal and external customers and justice partners. The Business Systems Analyst I is the entry-level classification in the Business Systems Analyst series. Under immediate supervision, the Business Systems Analyst I troubleshoots and tests application issues; documents business operations and enhancements to existing technology solutions to meet Court business and operational requirements; researches and resolves issues with data and reports; provides a variety of user support; and performs related duties within the area of assignment. The Business Systems Analyst II is the journey level classification in the Business Systems Analyst series. The classification serves as subject matter experts and performs analytical duties to enable CTS to develop and implement technology solutions to meet business, operational, and public service objectives. This classification is distinguished from Business Systems Analyst I in that the classification is required to apply greater business analysis skills to define documents and resolve business operations issues, and to work on a wider variety of operations issues. BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST I REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: OPTION I High school diploma or GED equivalent -AND- one (1) year of full-time (or equivalent) experience in business or systems analysis, process mapping, requirements gathering, operational and/or test scripts/scenarios documentation development. -OR- OPTION II One (1) year of full-time (or equivalent) experience with the Court as a Technology Trainee performing duties related to business or systems analysis BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST II REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent -AND- two (2) years of full-time (or equivalent) experience in business or systems analysis, requirements gathering, operational or system documentation development and/or process reengineering, with at least one (1) year of full-time (or equivalent) experience which was at the level of the Court's class of Business Systems Analyst I. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of Systems/Business analysis experience. 3+ years of experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). 1+ years of experience with Generative AI. Experience using low/no-code tools. Experience writing SQL queries. Experience working with agile methodology.
