The Illinois Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce auditions to fill the positionof Principal Violin II . The auditionwill be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois.

To apply, please submit a one-page rsum (with instrument, email address and phone number) along with a check for your $50 refundable audition deposit to the address below. Applications must bereceivedno later than Friday, August 9, 2024 .Applicants will be invited on the basis of rsum screening.

All positions will begin in the 2024-2025 concert season. The Illinois Symphony Orchestra is a per service regional orchestra. These are per-service positions and the 2024-2025 season rates are $110.40 for Principal, $101.20 for Associate Principal and $92.00 for Section. Additional compensation includes travel reimbursement and housing accommodations. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and U.S. work eligibility and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Members of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra are members of Local 301 of the American Federation of Musicians.
