The Vice President of Business Development & Spend Management is a senior growth leader responsible for researching, initiating, and cultivating new business opportunities across the self-operated non-commercial, leisure, and hospitality sectors. With a strategic focus on procurement for dining services—including food products, services, and related supplies—this role plays a critical part in expanding the organization’s footprint and driving long-term revenue growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP leads the development and execution of a comprehensive sales strategy and oversees the delivery of high-impact, client-focused solutions. Key responsibilities Research, identify, and initiate growth opportunities across the self-operated non-commercial, leisure, and hospitality sectors. Lead business development efforts with a focus on procurement for dining services operations, including food products, services, and related supplies. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve organizational goals, including target identification, trade show participation, association partnerships, and market awareness initiatives. Build, maintain, track, and execute against a strong sales pipeline utilizing HubSpot, ensuring disciplined forecasting and activity management. Craft, execute, and continuously refine a strategic sales plan aligned with organizational revenue targets. Pursue, negotiate, and close profitable new business opportunities across targeted market segments. Build, maintain, and deepen industry relationships that support sustained pipeline growth and long-term account expansion. Develop high-impact proposals in collaboration with marketing and present tailored solutions to prospective clients. Lead, mentor, and oversee the business development team—including directing targets, providing training, and ensuring high performance. Co-manage an Inside Sales Representative, ensuring alignment with broader pipeline and outreach objectives. Work collaboratively with leadership, supply chain, marketing, and culinary teams to design solutions that address client pain points and create measurable value. Build and present targeted supply chain and spend management solutions tailored to multi-unit portfolios and standalone operations. Conduct in-depth assessments of prospective clients’ culture, operational realities, procurement practices, and strategic goals to inform solution design. Monitor targeted segments to understand evolving client needs, competitive positioning, and market dynamics. Build strategic partnerships in priority segments that generate new growth opportunities and strengthen organizational visibility. Ensure all solution recommendations enhance procurement effectiveness, optimize spend management, and drive client value creation. Represent the organization as a senior leader and subject-matter expert in procurement, supply chain optimization, and dining services spend management. Job Requirements 7+ years' experience working in a foodservice related sales capacity required with a demonstrated history of success Prior experience managing a sales team a plus Prior experience selling to or for a group purchasing organization (GPO) or distributor preferred Prior experience selling at the senior leadership level of both multi-unit and large standalone clients Experience developing and implementing a sales strategy in the foodservice space with a record of sustained successful growth Strong strategic, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills Strong verbal and written skills Analytical and relatable Ability to travel up to 70% of the time to prospect and meet with potential clients Salary Range : $150K - $165K Yearly Centicor Procurement Services provides customized procurement solutions for food, services, and related supplies, enabling clients to deliver exceptional dining experiences at competitive costs.
