We are seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to accelerate our continuing growth, potentially expanding into new markets outside Illinois. What We Offer Competitive Salary ($90,000–$120,000 base salary based on experience) Substantial bonus opportunity Opportunity to join our Leadership Team with a significant performance‑based bonus tied to company results Paid Vacation Medical and Dental insurance coverage 401(k) and profit sharing Position Summary Reporting to the President, the Marketing Director manages marketing, advertising, promotions, staff, and all related activities to drive daily in‑home appointments for our sales team of 25+ people. The role includes managing an annual marketing budget of over $4M to achieve the company’s goals. It also offers a unique opportunity to sit on our Leadership Team and contribute to strategic company direction. Selected Major Duties And Responsibilities Plan, develop, and lead an integrated brand and messaging strategy to strengthen awareness and engagement with target audiences. Develop and execute marketing strategy and tactical plans across traditional and digital channels. Execute digital lead generation and nurturing tactics, including paid search, display, and web content. Monitor and drive KPIs including appointment generation, brand awareness, lead acquisition, conversion, and engagement. Continuously refine the core demographic attributes for our product offering. Analyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback. Oversee creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materials. Design print ads and publications. Coordinate and ensure quality of internal marketing staff and external marketing resources (e.g., graphic designer, content writer, digital marketing provider). Develop and maintain website messaging with continuous content creation, including blogging, before and after photos, videos, and conversion strategies. Oversee Field Marketing for all events, the Costco retail program, and Open House strategies and staffing. Work with the digital marketing provider to create and direct email marketing campaigns, engage consumers on social media, and maintain a highly regarded online reputation. Lead all areas of content generation and production across all media platforms, including TV and radio. Take calculated risks based on data‑driven analytics. Collaborate with the sales team to develop tailored messaging for the in‑home sales process. Develop and lead a marketing team that will implement new concepts, business models, channels, and partners to position the business as an innovator and leader. Oversee the call center and appointment scheduling. The Successful Candidate Will Have BS/BA in Marketing, Business, or a related degree (preferred). 3+ years of successful experience developing and implementing multi‑faceted marketing plans in a business‑to‑consumer industry, especially with lead generation for an in‑home sales model. Experience using lead generation software and working with a call center. Extensive background in marketing leadership roles in the home improvement sector (preferred). 3+ years of experience managing TV and radio campaigns. Demonstrated success in crafting compelling ads and offers for direct response marketing. Proven track record of helping a company achieve ambitious growth expectations. Successful experience in managing and directing staff or third‑party resources. Entrepreneurial experience (preferred). 3+ years overseeing SEO, paid search, email, and social media campaigns (Google Certification preferred). Proficiency with analytics tools, especially Google Analytics, to assess and refine marketing strategies and messaging. Demonstrated professional growth and advancement. Experience overseeing field marketing events and retail programs such as Costco.
