Job Description

Now is a great time to join our Team in Minneapolis as an SEH Lead for our Danfoss Power Solutions segment This SEH Lead role will lead the site environmental, health and safety initiatives for the entire facility. They will assist site leadership with establishing site specific policies and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory and Danfoss Global EH&S requirements, prevent injuries & illnesses, reduce workers’ compensation costs, and help create a strong EH&S culture.

Job Responsibilities

Plans, implements, and oversees approved safety and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations. (i.e. Occupational Safety and Health, USEPA, State EPA, Municipal). Maintains accurate records as required for these agencies.

Lead the internal audit process for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Champions safety awareness and compliance in the Minneapolis facility through education, training, program development, documentation, and job specific support.

Facilitates the investigation of incidents, injuries, and near misses and maintains proper documentation. Ensures employees receive initial appropriate care.

Lead the site Health and Wellness program.

Other tasks as assigned by leader

Background & Skills

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S from a four-year college or university) in Environmental Health & Safety, or a similar area.
A minimum of seven years of Safety/Environmental experience in a manufacturing environment will be considered in lieu of a degree.
EHS certification a plus.
3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
Experience implementing or maintaining EH&S Management Systems, e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
Significant knowledge of U.S. Environmental, Safety & Health laws (OSHA & EPA) required.
Strong communication, presentation, training and facilitation, project management skills are essential.
Highly self-motivated, ability to work under pressure, manage and prioritize multiple objectives concurrently, attend to details, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in LEAN and continuous improvement manufacturing principles desired.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Exemplary customer service skills and attention to detail.
Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office possessing analytical skills to analyze safety & health data.
Leadership skills demonstrated in professional or external organization
Organization and prioritization of multiple competing inputs
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing in English language
Demonstrate advanced interpersonal skills.
