They develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures. Through policy and procedure creation, they create and preserve an environment where residents, employees, visitors, and property are safe and well-protected.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses.Recruit, train, and supervise security officers and guards.Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs.Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events.Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms.Review reports on incidents and breaches.Investigate and resolve issues.Create reports for management on security status.Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g., implementation of new technology).Performs other related duties as required.RequirementsProven experience as security manager or similar position.Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g., CCTV).Experience in reporting and emergency response planning.Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis.Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.High school diploma. Further education in security administration or a similar field will be an asset.Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, vendors, and associates.Adhere to tight deadlines and quick turnaround for deliverables.Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment where adaptability is imperative.Strong written and oral skills.Accurate with a strong attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.Salary Range$110,000 - $145,000 USDDiversity in backgrounds and experiences is key to Fairstead’s success.
