*Job description*

Skin Solutions Dermatology is looking to train someone to assist our dermatologic surgeon in the Nashville/ Hendersonville/ and Clarksville areas. This is a FULL time, 4 day a week, Monday-Thursday position. NO WEEKENDS Must be able to work in Nashville, Hendersonville, and Clarksville locations. Prior surgical assisting experience is not necessary as EXTENSIVE TRAINING is PROVIDED.

The ideal candidate is someone with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with problem solving and analytical skills. They would need to remain calm under pressure while also remaining team-oriented and empathic to each patient and their needs.

*Essential Skills and Abilities:*

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Treats patients and co-workers with respect.

Complies with established policies and procedures, including OSHA & HIPAA.

Assures patient and office confidentiality.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Assist Mohs surgeon during procedures
* Meticulous chart documentation.
* Assist with biopsies/surgery procedures.
* Self-directed nursing procedures: suture removal, anesthetizing surgical sites, and dressing changes.
* Patient education regarding treatment plans, medication, pre-operative and post operative directions.
* Will be taught to processing tissue for microscopic review.
* Maintaining necessary lab logs and documentation as required by CLIA
* Ensures cleaning and daily operational maintenance of lab equipment, schedule repairs as needed.
* Performs other medical assisting duties as may be assigned periodically.

Certified CMA (Preferred) or LPN (preferred)
