Paint Line Operator - Operator SAFETY:Understand and follow all safety proceduresCurrent on all safety trainingsWears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas.Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and proceduresComplete General Plan Safety Training within the first 8 weeks. TECHNICAL SKILLS:Deliver totes from paint mixing to the paint kitchen as neededChanges out empty paint totes with full totes and add the correct amount of water to each toteMaintain all paint pumps and agitators at the paint kitchenResponsible for taking a paint sample for each new paint tote and recording the findingsMonitors the paint flow at the paint stationsClean and change dirty spray nozzlesAdjust paint spray gun (nozzles) in order to get the proper paint flow (spray) by turning appropriate valves on paint spray machinesMaintain a constant flow of product on the production line at all timesSafely removes dropped or broken boards from between the production linesEQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:Previous manufacturing experienceSprayers and nozzlesSponge rollerForklift certificationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and to push-pull up to 75lbs.Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.BEHAVIORS:SafetyHolds Self and Others accountableContributes to "The Nichiha Way"Shares lessons learned on safety practicesDemonstrates self-care and mutual-careCooperationTeam PlayerTreats others with respectHelps othersCommunicates effectivelyThinks of team before selfPersonal AwarenessSelf-awareness of strengths and weaknessesUnderstanding of adhering to company policies and procedures (attendance, timekeeping, housekeeping)Open to constructive feedbackActively seeks ways to developKnowledge and Problem SolvingEffectively assist in resolving issues using job knowledge and skillsAble to identify issues and actively seeks to resolveOffers pragmatic solutionsContinuously seeks new and innovative work methodsImitative and ProductivityUnderstands performance expectations (quality, timeliness)Strives to improve efficiency / bottleneck issuesAdaptive to new ways of improvementQuestions current status for improvements
