Associate Director of Finance Our client is looking for a highly skilled and adaptable finance professional to join our team and help bring structure and clarity to complex financial operations across multiple properties and stakeholders. As Associate Director you’ll act as an in-house controller, bridging accounting fundamentals with strategic finance responsibilities. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity for career growth as we expand into future phases and partnerships. Key Responsibilities Review and refine financial statements prepared by third‑party accounting firms. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting for multiple properties and business units. Manage complex cost allocations and guide property management teams through financial processes. Build and interpret complex financial models. Conduct market research and scenario analysis for acquisitions, development, and exit strategies. Collaborate with Legal and Construction teams on contracts, agreements, and loan documents. Proactively communicate priorities and project status to stakeholders. Stay informed on industry trends and provide analysis to support company initiatives. Operational Finance Leadership Serve as liaison between property managers, construction teams, and internal stakeholders. Maintain consistency in financial reporting across a fast‑paced, multi‑tenant environment. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for development projects. Stakeholder Engagement Present financial insights to principals and senior leadership with confidence. Collaborate with partners managing operations. Strategic Growth Contribute to acquisition analysis and integration for future expansions. Build scalable processes to support long‑term organizational goals. Qualifications Experience: 7–10 years in finance/accounting roles within real estate or construction. Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; MBA/MS preferred. Certifications: CPA, CFA, or CMA a plus. Background: Strong accounting foundation; Big 4 experience preferred. Skills Advanced financial reporting, modeling, and analytical capabilities. Strong presentation and communication skills with senior executives. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel expertise required). Ability to manage high‑volume work under pressure and meet deadlines.
