Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Operations Supervisor located in Columbia SC.Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Operations Supervisor will effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources and leading an organization to achieve and maintain operational excellence.Shift 1st : 7:00am - 3:00pm Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:Supervises production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.Coordinates efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.Ensures ISO and safety standards are adhered.Leverages industry practices and applies to internal systems and processes.Provides supervision and direction to subordinate staff and coordinates workflow within major work unit, including distributing work, disseminating information, assigning staff to cover for absences, providing technical assistance, answering questions, and resolving problems within the work unit supervised.Supervises the development and implementation of training programs within the work unit supervised.Serves as a liaison between the work unit and other offices and outside agencies for the distribution and collection of information and to resolve operational issues.Develops and implements new procedures and responds to changes in statutes and administrative policies.Trains staff in the use of automated systems and word processing software, introduces new versions or functions, trouble shoots problems, and attends meetings.Assists in the preparation of the budget for the work unit.Performs reviewing work performance, motivating subordinates to work more effectively, identifying problems with performance and solutions to those problems, determining training needs to improve performance,Participates in the hiring and promoting of staff within the work unit supervised, including serving on a panel to interview applicants and making recommendations to superiors.Prepares and/or processes personnel actions such as promotions, appointments, transfers, leaves of absences.Supervises the maintenance of personnel records and time sheets for staff supervised.Coordinates time off requests to ensure adequate coverage.Here is some of what you'll need (required):Bachelor degree Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic or equivalent experience4+ years experience managing individual contributors/small teams.Automated Systems and Maintenance, troubleshooting experience.Strong computer skills.Excel experience.Here are a few of our preferred experiences:Manufacturing experienceGGreen Belt - Six SigmaEnsures compliance of standardsHere are a few examples of what you'll get for the great work you provide:Full range of medical benefits, dental, visionLife InsuranceMatching 401KPTOTuition ReimbursementEmployee discounts at local retailersLI#YV1 Job Category Operations Is Sponsorship Available?NoFlex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
