Position Responsibilities:
  • Document assessment findings and provide preoperative coordination of records, and information; both medical and demographic, in order to provide safe surgical care
  • Accurately schedule surgical procedure utilizing operating software
  • Provide patient education essential to an efficient and safe surgical experience
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA rules and regulations
Requirements:
  • Iowa RN license is required
  • Previous preoperative patient health assessment experience
  • Knowledge of nursing principals and protocols for care of surgical patient
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately, detail oriented
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills - ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds
