This leadership role combines strategic product thinking with active development responsibilities, managing 5-7 direct reports to deliver reliable applications, tools, and processes. The Director of IT Products will serve as a technical guide and mentor, working directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and champion the team\'s work across the organization. This role requires balancing typical business hours with flexible support during games and events.NOTE:This is an in-office position based at Rocket Arena, requiring daily on-site presence to effectively lead the team and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.We are unable to sponsor, OR take over sponsorship of employment visas. To be considered for this role, candidates MUST be legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and develop a team of 5-7 direct reports, providing regular one-on-one coaching and removing roadblocks to ensure work aligns with organizational priorities and product goals.Maintain hands-on involvement in product development, including building prototypes, contributing code, and helping take projects across the finish line.Serve as technical guide and mentor to team members, actively teaching technical skills to junior developers and helping all team members advance their capabilities.Facilitate professional development plans and growth opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and career advancement.Work directly with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, understand needs, and translate business objectives into technical product solutions.Manage portfolio of internal products, applications, tools, and processes while supporting the Digital Team with any fan-facing product assistance.Evaluate, select, and implement vendor solutions and third-party products that align with organizational needs and technical standards.Ensure all deployed products meet security, reliability, performance, and quality standards through code reviews and best practice implementation.Champion the team\'s work throughout the organization, effectively communicating product value and technical achievements to stakeholders at all levels.Collaborate with Project Management and other departments to prioritize product development and align technical solutions with business objectives.Lead problem-solving initiatives for complex technical challenges across the product portfolio.Maintain typical business hours during non-event periods while providing flexible leadership and support during games and events.Organize and coordinate team support during games and events while ensuring appropriate work-life balance for all team members.Provide in-person leadership and maintain regular on-site presence to ensure effective team coordination and cross-departmental collaboration.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.5+ years of experience in product development, application development, or related technical roles with proven hands-on coding abilities.2+ years of people management experience with demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and mentor technical teams.Strong technical background with ability to teach and guide junior team members in technical skills development.Experience working directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.Proven ability to build prototypes and contribute hands-on to product development throughout the entire lifecycle.Experience with code review processes, security best practices, and deployment standards.Excellent communication skills with ability to champion technical work and translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Flexibility to work non-traditional hours during games and events while maintaining team work-life balance.Experience working in fast-paced, high-energy environments with changing priorities.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Advanced degree in relevant technical field.Experience in sports, entertainment, or event-driven industries.Experience evaluating and implementing vendor products and third-party solutions.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern development frameworks.Experience developing internal tools, business applications, and process automation solutions.Knowledge of agile development methodologies and product management practices.Experience with DevOps practices, automation, and continuous integration/deployment.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.1 Center Court, Cleveland, OH 44115, USA #J-18808-Ljbffr
