Position Summary The Director of Rehab Operations supports the Senior/Regional Rehab Directors in the company and provides education and assistance as it pertains to the Medicare Regulations, Quality Measures, and Rehab Services policy and procedures in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Collects and analyzes data that can be used to assist the facilities and company with improvement efforts. Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Physical Therapy (PT) or Occupational Therapy (OT), or a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP). Currently licensed/registered in applicable state. Must maintain an active therapy license in good standing throughout employment. Extensive knowledge of Medicare regulations, quality measures, scope of practice, PPS reimbursement model Prior supervisory experience in managing multiple facilities Knowledge of the Quality Reporting Program and the RAI Process Specific Job Requirements Willing and able to travel, including air travel Valid driver's license in current state with satisfactory driving record per Life Care standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills and can make independent decisions Proficient with Word, Excel, and email Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Knowledgeable of rehab practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing rehab functions in the post-acute rehab and long-term care facility Ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Rehabilitation Services Perform proficiently in all applicable competency areas Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc. Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training Essential Functions Support multiple Senior/Regional Rehab Directors and facility Directors of Rehab throughout the company Stay up-to-date with any Medicare Regulation, Rehab Scope of Practice, Evidenced Based Practice, Quality Reporting, PPS Reimbursement, Medicare Reimbursement, Managed Care Reimbursement models and provide education opportunities and assistance when needed Answer questions related to triple check process and assist with ADR Reviews and appeals. Assist with developing acceptable practice standards for rehab. Provide effective guidance and mentorship to the rehab team. Evaluate program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and outcomes. Promote efficient workflow processes. Conduct audits and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Act as a liaison between rehabilitation departments, other departments, and medical staff. Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude Assist in the evacuation of patients Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment Communicate and function productively within an interdisciplinary team at facilities and corporate offices Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours Read, write, speak, and understand the English language Lift weight as deemed appropriate for the position An Equal Opportunity Employer
