Role The General Manager is responsible for effectively and profitably managing and directing all day‑to‑day aspects of the venue’s operations, including concessions, retail, catering, and premium services. The GM serves as the primary strategic business leader of the property, overseeing hospitality, guest experience, event innovation, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation to deliver a return on investment to key stakeholders. The GM ensures implementation of Legends’ high‑level hospitality standards, exceeding guest expectations and increasing profits. The GM holds the property leadership team accountable for strategy execution and guides their professional development. Essential Responsibilities Uphold Legends’ standards for quality and performance in all phases of food and beverage operations. Continuously innovate the guest experience—food, service, communications—balancing creativity with practical implementation. Manage the operational budget and monthly P&L statements, ensuring accurate financial reporting. Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the client and business partners. Conduct weekly F&B update meetings as necessary. Handle and engage all client communications related to food and beverage services requested by Pechanga Arena. Lead a cohesive management team, developing talent, promoting from within, coaching, and performing performance management. Develop annual operational budgets, including labor projections, product levels, and pricing, to support a fiscally sound operation. Hold department managers accountable for timekeeping and schedules for all Legends hourly staff. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly inventory, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for all departments. Prepare, verify, and submit financial reports and monthly projections as required. Work closely with all sub‑contractors and non‑profit organizations to ensure all standards are met and contract terms are followed. Ensure unit compliance with federal, state, local, and Legends regulations regarding sale of alcohol, foodservice, OSHA, payroll, employment, and EEO guidelines. Work closely with vendors and distributors to procure products and equipment necessary for event execution. Manage the repair and renewal of all operational assets such as uniforms, foodservice equipment, and point‑of‑sale equipment. Participate in event production meetings and disseminate imperative information to the management team. Establish and maintain proper safety and sanitation procedures and build working relationships with local health officials and alcohol beverage control officials. Ensure the proper operational condition of all food service equipment. Perform additional related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required. Execute all contract terms. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of ten years management experience in contract foodservice, preferably for a sports and entertainment venue. Experience in high‑volume foodservice operations, preferably concessions or premium services for a sports/entertainment venue, with oversight of alcohol sales. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to multitask and prioritize in a deadline‑oriented environment. Previous P&L accountability and/or contract‑managed service experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and POS systems required. Strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer and client service, demonstrating initiative, leadership, and management skills. Flexibility to work a non‑traditional schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Highly organized, self‑motivated individual capable of working independently. Strong leadership skills with excellent oral and written communication abilities. Responsible for supervising all team members, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, and resolving complaints. Compensation Competitive salary range of $110,000 – $125,000 plus bonus, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) plan. Working Conditions Job requires frequent travel between locations and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Location On Site Sutter Health Park (West Sacramento, CA).
