Opportunity Specifics:

  • Contract Type: Travel Nursing
  • Clinical Setting: Outpatient
  • Hours: 8a-5p (40 hrs per week)
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday with roating weekends
  • Contract Duration: Long-Term 6+ Months

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including medication administration, treatments, and medication education, while ensuring accurate documentation.

  • Utilize computer systems for data entry, with complete training provided.

  • Medication Administration: Administer medications accurately and timely following prescribed protocols, including oral, intravenous, and intramuscular routes.

  • Treatment Management: Perform various treatments such as wound care, dressings, catheterizations, and oxygen therapy under the direction of the Unit RN.

  • Medication Education: Provide patients with clear and concise medication education, including dosage, frequency, potential side effects, and any necessary precautions.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including medication administration records, treatment plans, progress notes, and any changes in condition.

  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly assess and record vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and report any concerns to the Unit RN.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, RNs, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Active Texas State License.

  • Graduate of Accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing Program.

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
