As a Weld Leader, you will guide activities in the weld fab department under the supervision of the Fab Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include performing MIG welding primarily on structural steel and occasionally on stainless steel. You will fabricate and fit parts based on blueprints, using both horizontal and vertical welding techniques. Your role will also involve handling overhead cranes to position materials, utilizing hand and power tools for fitting, and performing grinding, torch cutting, and finishing tasks. If you are not already AWS certified, you will receive this certification.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Week(s).

**Work Environment**

The role is primarily on the 1st shift from 5:30am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday with occasional Fridays. The work environment is fast-paced and can appear a bit unorganized due to high activity levels and spread-out units. Teamwork is highly valued, and you will collaborate with other team members daily. The company has approximately 180 employees across manufacturing and office roles. Safety is a priority, and you are required to wear steel-toe boots and safety glasses and must have your own tools.
