The Senior Structural Engineer will design and oversee structural solutions for a variety of building projects. The role is based in a flexible location with preferred sites including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Maitland, Fort Myers, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville, and may involve occasional travel to project sites. What a day at EXP has in store for you Ability to self‑perform and/or assist others in any project stage from schematic design through construction administration. Calculations, sketches, drawing production, specifications, and multi‑discipline coordination expected on a regular basis. Conducting observations and evaluating existing conditions in the field and via historical drawings. Working on multiple projects concurrently that require coordination between multiple EXP offices and outside consultants. Occasional short‑term travel to project sites, usually a single night or two at a time. What Your Experience Looks Like Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering with 8 years of experience focused on building design. Solid understanding of structural analysis software such as RAM, RISA, ETABS. Strong Revit skills in modeling and sheet creation; additional skills in family creation, parameter use, and templates are a plus. Professional Engineering licensure is required; licensure as a Structural Engineer via structural specific examination (Structural I/II, Structural Gravity/Lateral) is preferred. Master’s degree in Structural Engineering strongly preferred; a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis considered a minimum requirement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write persuasively and convey technical subject matter to a non‑technical audience. EXP is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
