About This Opportunity Our client in the high‑tech industry is seeking an exceptional Network Security Lead to join their dynamic Information Technology team, reporting directly to the Director of Infrastructure & Security. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of global network security architecture while leading cutting‑edge initiatives in AI‑driven automation and zero‑trust security models. What You'll Do Design and maintain global network security architecture spanning: Core corporate and data center networks Lab network segmentation and firewalls On‑premise proxies and remote access gateways Cloud security architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP) including hub‑spoke and zero‑trust models Define long‑term network security roadmaps balancing resilience, performance, and scalability Develop secure reference architectures for SD‑WAN, NGFW, DNS/DHCP, and VPN platforms Partner with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, and InfoSec teams for consistent policy enforcement Operational Oversight and Vendor Management Lead and manage Managed Service Provider (MSP) for L2/L3 network security engineering and monitoring Define performance metrics, escalation procedures, and automation goals for MSP services Ensure SLA adherence through regular audits and technical reviews Oversee incident response coordination for network‑related security events Manage network security operational procedures including firewall management, certificate updates, and troubleshooting Optimize privileged access provisioning and user onboarding processes Maintain and update network security SOP documentation Automation and AI Integration Implement AI and machine learning technologies for automated network telemetry analysis and anomaly detection Reduce manual troubleshooting through AIOps, predictive analytics, and autonomous configuration management Drive adoption of automated rule verification, configuration compliance, and zero‑touch provisioning Engineering and Governance Provide expert guidance on routing, switching, segmentation, encryption, and authentication frameworks Develop and enforce network security policies and standards Review and approve changes to firewall rules, access control lists, and proxy configurations Conduct security architecture reviews for new projects and cloud integrations Participate in quarterly business reviews and executive governance meetings Mentorship and Collaboration Serve as technical mentor to engineers across Infrastructure and InfoSec teams Collaborate with leadership to align network and cyber defense strategy Coordinate with compliance and audit functions for control effectiveness evidence Support audit comment tracking and periodic access verification activities What You Bring Core Technical Expertise Expert‑level knowledge in network and security architecture design, including: NGFWs, VPNs, SD‑WAN, segmentation, proxies, and hybrid connectivity Routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VXLAN, MPLS DNS/DHCP/IPAM, SSL/TLS, PKI, SSO/SAML/OAuth Cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP) – transit gateways, VPC/VNet security groups, private endpoints Deep understanding of Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) models Strong vendor management and contract governance experience with Managed Service Providers Experience applying AI and automation in operational network management and security analytics Excellent communication and leadership skills to translate technical strategy into business impact Education and Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline 8+ years of experience in network security, infrastructure engineering, or equivalent field 3+ years of experience in architecture‑level leadership or MSP oversight Preferred Certifications AWS Certified Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer Associate CISSP or equivalent cybersecurity certification Success Metrics Delivery of integrated global network security architecture supporting corporate and lab environments Reduction in mean time to detect/respond (MTTD/MTTR) through AI‑enabled automation Demonstrated SLA compliance and operational maturity of MSP‑delivered services Consistent alignment with enterprise risk and governance frameworks Join Our Team Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of enterprise network security while leading innovative automation initiatives that will transform how our client protects and manages their global infrastructure Apply TODAY Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Information Technology Industries Technology Information and Media IT Services and IT Consulting Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) #J-18808-Ljbffr
