About the Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for running all of the engineering activities and projects within Anatomage. You will ensure the success of the engineering and technical projects within the organization, aligning everything with the established policies and objectives.

What You’ll Do

  1. Design and develop moderately complex projects for medical/education products, processes, and technologies, as well as redesign existing products on time, within budget, and with required quality.
  2. Participate in integrated product development teams; prepare design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for presentation and approval.
  3. Develop project plans for development activities including designing tasks, resource requirements, design reviews, and qualification and verification plans.
  4. Generate and/or review project-related documentation and analysis results to ensure their completeness and quality.
  5. Evaluate suitability of current products for new applications; work with a team to develop bids and proposals for new, modified, or upgraded projects.
  6. Work within a team to develop predictive component and product performance models; develop plans to verify models for component and product characteristics.
  7. Interface with customers as part of development programs; work closely with suppliers on component and product development.
  8. Participate in ideation for new products and technologies; provide innovative ideas for improvements to existing products.
  9. Apply advanced tools in problem solving and project management to solve technical issues.
  10. Understand risks, design trade-offs, tolerancing, and component interactions; incorporate design for manufacturing and cost.
  11. Provide technical expertise to support manufacturing, field service engineers, and customers.
  12. Provide excellent communication through technical writing, verbal communication, and presentations.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is full time, on-site at our headquarters location in Santa Clara. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only local candidates will be considered for this role.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  2. Minimum of 5-7 years of engineering experience.
  3. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in Mechanical, Systems, or Medical Equipment Engineering.
  2. 10 years of engineering design and project experience.
  3. Experience in an engineering medical environment.
  4. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection for engineering design.
  5. Ability to perform basic structural and/or performance analysis.
