Medical Billing/Collections Representative Responsibilities:

  • Work Hospice/Homecare claims through the back end billing cycle (Must have experience working high dollar claims)
  • Identify errors and process denials
  • Create electronic file and upload claims to correct insurance portal or Medicaid provider
  • Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements
  • Monthly Billing/ Collections on Veterans Deserve clients for 120 branches throughout the USA
  • Posted payments from insurance companies and clients
  • Responsible for submitting and correcting Medicare claims on a daily basis. Followed up on missing documentation and scanned all applicable medical records to patient electronic charts.
  • Accurately interpreted patient insurance, prescription and other health-related documentation
  • Communicated with insurance companies, patients, providers and prescribers to coordinate reimbursement and access solution
  • Reviewed unpaid accounts to determine status and taking appropriate action to ensure payment
  • Reviewed all claims for compliance and completeness for claims submissions
  • Maintained a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information

Shift: M-F 8:30AM-5:00PM EST (Must Work on an EST Time Zone)
