Join to apply for the Sr Engineer Software Development role at T-Mobile.OverviewWe are seeking a Sr Software Engineer to join our Cloud Security Team, responsible for crafting, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across public and hybrid cloud environments. In this role, you will collaborate with application, cybersecurity, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to embed security standard processes into all stages of the cloud development lifecycle. You will play a key role in securing and automating cloud workloads, automating compliance and ensuring our cloud environments are resilient against threats. This position is ideal for an engineer with deep cloud platform expertise and a good foundation in cloud-native security tools and practices.Job ResponsibilitiesLeads implementation efforts across multi-cloud infrastructure ensuring scalability, performance and securityDevelop infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation for deployment and monitoringArchitect and optimize systems using modern frameworks and cloud-native patterns (e.g., microservices, containers, serverless)Evaluate and implement cloud strategies and tools that reduce complexity and improve efficiencyFacilitate to craft and implementation reviews with a focus on performance, reliability, and cost optimizationProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers through code reviews, learning and training sessionsLead and influence architectural discussions and technical roadmapsProactively engage in multi-functional initiatives and technical forums to support team growth and innovationStay informed of new cloud technologies and evaluate their adoption in alignment with business goalsAdvocate for and contribute to a forward-thinking cloud strategy, particularly across hybrid or multi-cloud environmentsWork with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure backend services align with SLAs and business expectationsBuild clear and concise documentation for backend architecture, API specifications, deployment procedures, and design decisionsCommunicate technical solutions efficiently to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersEducation and Work ExperienceBachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience (required)5+ years of software engineering and cloud experience (required)Proficiency and hands-on experience in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, etc.Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance tuning of cloud servicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAt least 18 years of ageLegally authorized to work in the United StatesTravel and RegulatoryTravel Required (Yes/No): YesDOT Regulated Position (Yes/No): NoSafety Sensitive Position (Yes/No): NoCompensation and BenefitsBase Pay Range: $113,600 - $205,000Corporate Bonus Target: 15%Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), employee stock grants, employee stock purchase plan, PTO, holidays, parental and family leave, disability and life insurance, discounts, and more.
