Persons employed as a Quality Control Technician is expected to:

  • Select and test fuel/additive products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and/or chemical characteristics.
  • Record test data, following statistical quality control procedures.
  • Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Conduct work in a safe and environmentally conscious fashion by adhering to all company, industry, local, state and federal safety and environmental regulations and procedures.
  • Consults with manufacturer to determine quality and reliability standards and analyzes fuels/additives to ensure consistent product quality.

The tasks are performed inside and outside near stationary and moving aircraft (including spinning propellers and engines).

Operate company equipment in a safe manner. Read, write and fluently speak and understand the English language. Clearly communicate in English with others in person, via telephone, radio communicators, and in writing for purposes of performing certain job duties and safety. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Add subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
