Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team at Parrett Veterinary Clinic. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their stay with us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch care to patients, including walking, feeding, and administering medication as needed.
  • Ensure the boarding area is clean and safe for all patients by cleaning cages, runs, and ward areas, and washing laundry.
  • Accurately and legibly record information related to patient care, including feeding schedules, appearance, and behavior.
  • Observe patients for signs of illness, disease, or discontent, and report any concerns to the practice team.
  • Collaborate with the practice team to ensure seamless communication and exceptional client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Previous veterinary experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on weekends as required.
  • Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds, with assistance for heavier patients.
  • Practices OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE.
