Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team at Parrett Veterinary Clinic. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their stay with us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch care to patients, including walking, feeding, and administering medication as needed
  • Ensure the boarding area is clean and safe for all patients by cleaning cages, runs, and ward areas, and washing laundry
  • Collaborate with the practice team to ensure seamless client care and satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, including feeding schedules, appearance, and behavior
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks to control the spread of disease and maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements
  • Previous veterinary experience preferred
  • Ability to work on weekends as required
  • Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients over 25 pounds with assistance
  • Practices OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE
